Orange You Glad You Live in Phoenix?

Once I smell the Orange Blossoms wafting through the Phoenix streets, I know that Spring has finally arrived! Unlike the rest of the country, I did not spend my winter cooped up inside, scraping snow and ice off my car, or bundled up in down feathered coats. I, like all Phoenix residents, enjoyed brisk evenings with light weight jackets, sunny days where it was just cool enough to wear boots and weather that made you dream of being outdoors instead of stuck in the office. Even though the past couple months have already felt like spring, its this time of year when the citrus is ripe and the air smells of perfume that has me opening up all the windows to invite Spring in and allow that Vitamin C to float throughout the rooms in my home.  This time of year is just one of the times that I am happy to be a Phoenix resident.

A Perfect Game, Really?

This last Thursday, the Troops (okay Realtors), from Keller Williams Biltmore Partners, made our way to the AMF lanes on 32nd Street and Indian School for our first ever "Bowl-A-Thon". Our motivation was to raise money to buy a home that we could donate to a charity that takes care of vets here in Phoenix called Project We Remember. The home (or homes, depending on how much money we can raise) will be used by U.S. Veterans and active service people when getting treatment at the VA hospital who under other circumstances wouldn't have any where else to stay. The active duty guys will also be able to live in the home temporarily it if going home immediately following a tour overseas isn't the best idea.

The bowling was a way for us agents to come together and raise money for the cause while sharing in some pretty excellent times. Brad Turk, one of the owners and top agents in our office, absolutely crushed it bowling a perfect 300 in one of the 10 games he bowled. It was AWESOME! All in all we had a really successful turnout and raised almost $50,000 in the process amongst all participating KW agents in Phoenix. Thanks to all those who participated and made this event a tremendous success!

For additional information about the cause please check out the website we created for the cause www.Just1Home.org.
